ReplyDeleteI know enough about Eleanor of Aquitaine not to feel sorry for her because of her second marriage. Generally speaking, I think it's true that we can't escape the problems in one relationship simply by entering another; and that probably explains Eleanor's case.

Eleanor was such a fascinating character. I don't read much historical fiction, but this is one I might have to take a look at. Good teaser!
